Figured Paulownia Bowl
This bowl is made from a Paulownia tree I salvaged out of Philadelphia. The part of the tree this bowl is made from is called the crotch, where two branches meet. The compression of the weight of the branches over the years make the quilted, tiger pattern you see in the grain. The ants that once lived in this tree left behind trails in the wood grain that add some truly unique characteristics. 7.5” wide x 3 1/4” deep.
